Inorganic chemistry is one of the oldest chemical branches, focusing on the composition, property, structure and reaction of inorganic substance. It aims at researching and solving the inorganic chemical basic science issues of material, life, energy, information, environment fields, and so on.
The Department of Inorganic Chemistry of the College of Chemistry at Fuzhou University undertakes the discipline construction of inorganic chemistry. Currently, the department has a total teaching faculty of 16 members. Among them, there are 7 full professors and 7 associate professors, 15 PhD degree holders, 1 winner of the National Outstanding Youth Science Foundation, and 2 successful candidates of “Minjiang scholar”.
The Department of Inorganic Chemistry is responsible for teaching the basic courses of inorganic chemistry, the specialized courses of inorganic synthesis, coordination chemistry, applied electrochemistry, and the graduate courses of advanced inorganic chemistry, applied electrochemistry, new energy materials and etc., and guiding the thesis of undergraduate and graduate. Meanwhile it is also responsible for teaching the general chemistry courses for all undergraduates of Fuzhou University. The teaching faculty of the department actively participates in the innovation of education and teaching, and undertakes the teaching research projects supported by nation and university funds.
