The Department of Organic Chemistry (hereinafter referred to as the "Department") is one of six teaching units of the College of Chemistry at Fuzhou University. Established in 2014, the Department now has a teaching staff of 14 members. The main task of the Department of Organic Chemistry is to teach organic chemistry courses and organic chemistry experiment courses for undergraduates of the College of Chemistry and students of other colleges at Fuzhou University. In addition, it is responsible for the teaching of organic synthesis design courses for undergraduates of the College of Chemistry. Besides, it also undertakes the teaching task of specialized courses for post-graduates majoring in organic chemistry, including advanced organic chemistry, organic synthesis experiment, organic structure analysis, etc.
Currently, the Department of Organic Chemistry features 3 faculty members in their 50s, 5 in their 40s and 6 in their 30s. Among them, 7 are full professors and the others are associate professors.
